Motivation comes from within — and I’m here to help you activate it.
Meet Fedra Tehrani, Licensed Clinical Therapist
I’ve always been curious about social behavior, which naturally led me to study social psychology for my bachelor’s and clinical psychology for my master’s. After graduating, I worked as a Rehab Therapist at San Mateo County Hospital’s acute crisis unit, helping clients with trauma, abuse, anxiety, substance use, and thought disorders. Later, I was promoted to Rehab Director, where I supervised other therapists and gained valuable experience in crisis intervention and treatment.
When I started my family, I wanted more flexibility, so I transitioned to Edgewood Center, where I worked with adolescents and young adults with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. It was there that I strengthened my clinical skills, becoming trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and other trauma-informed approaches, while also learning mindfulness and coping tools to support my clients’ healing.

Although I am familiar with a variety of therapeutic approaches, I mostly work from a psychodynamic orientation and my focus is to help shed a light on possible troubling relational patterns and how they may be impacting your life.
I also work from a cognitive behavioral approach, where I guide you in evaluating and changing how your thoughts and feelings influence your actions. Still, depending on what you bring into therapy, I would like to tailor my work to support you addressing it. I have experience with young adults and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds using an integrative approach and perspective.
My work also emphasizes on the importance of relationships, family systems, and behavioral change. I am available for either short or long-term treatment methods and utilize evidence-based practices.
